Ellworth Earl Fiser, 80, of Machesney Park passed away Sunday, August 6, 2017, in his home. Born April 29, 1937, in Rockford, the son of Floyd and Magdalene (Vonesh) Fiser. Married Carrol Smalley. In December, they would have celebrated 60 years of marriage. Employed as a welder for many years. He was proud of his job at Ford Motor Company where he did a little bit of everything. He drove a wrecker, delivered cars and worked as a mechanic. He was recruited by the Loves Park VFW at 6 years old to play the trumpet in the first Loves Park Parade and at military funerals. Member of North Park Covenant Church. Survivors include his wife, Carrol; children, Karen (Jim Bachman) Flock, Ellwood Fiser, Ella Fiser and Tony (Tina) Fiser; grandchildren, Stephanie, Steven, Page, Brian, Darrell, Jonathan, Ashley Kaley, Amber and Shawna; 13 great-grandchildren; sister, Kathy Wells; numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents; brother, Bruce; and sons, John and Rick.
Service at 1 p.m. Monday, August 14, in Delehanty Funeral Home, Ltd., 401 River Lane, Loves Park, with visitation from noon to service time. Burial in Stillman Valley Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, a memorial will be established.
