Ellen Elaine Moore, 80, of Rockford passed away Tuesday, June 7, 2022. Born February 12, 1942, in Waukegan, the daughter of Frederick C. and Mary Margaret (Creamer) Kittmann, Jr. Married John Samuel Moore on November 12, 1960. Employed by OSF St. Anthony Medical Center for more than 22 years. Ellen loved flower gardening (English flower gardens were her favorite), piano music, reading, and sitting on her porch swing. She was a kind, gentle person with a good heart and generous spirit, someone people were drawn to because she was easy to talk to and a good listener, never passing judgment on anyone. Survivors include her husband, John; daughter, Virginia (Ronald) Whittington; sister, Paula (Bruce) Reilly; special friend, Mary Villagomez; many nieces, nephews, and close friends. Predeceased by her parents; son, Bruce Moore; parents-in-law; and sister, Marie (Jack) Navarre.
