Bethy was born in Rockford, lived in the area most of her life and attended Harlem High School. She was employed at Steak N Shake as a prep cook and previously worked at Bon-Ton Distribution Center. She loved to dance and laugh and was always game for a good joke or prank. Bethy left a lasting impression on anyone she met and was often referred to as a “spit-fire”. Her laughter was contagious, her love for life was bountiful, her love for her family and friends was unwavering and she had the sweetest soul. She is survived by her daughter, Tammy Hockison; daughter-in-law, Terri Ferriter; grandchildren, Danielle Hintz, Cassie (Joe) Rains, Andrew Ferriter, Shannon Ferriter and Brady Ferriter; great-grandchildren, Arianna and Ethan; brothers, John (Sue) Pruitt, Tom (Vicky) Pruitt, and Tim Pruitt; brother-in-law, Fred Feltz; nieces, Heather (Rich) Whitney, Kari (Shawn) Mulligan, Annie Pruitt and Ally Pruitt; nephews, Micah (Heather) Pruitt, Mark Pruitt, Ty (Brittany) Pruitt and AJ Pruitt; many aunts, uncles, cousins and great-nieces and great-nephews. She was predeceased in death by her beloved sister, Julie Feltz; parents, John and Marguerite Pruitt; and maternal and paternal grandparents.
