Elizabeth Maria Jurasek, 61, of Machesney Park, IL, passed away Saturday, January 11, 2025, in her home. Born October 31, 1963, in Fort Knox, KY, the daughter of Frank William and Elfriede Maria (Höedel) England, Jr. She married Mark Jurasek in May 2000. Elizabeth started her employment in 1984 as a police telecommunicator, was then promoted to assistant shift supervisor, fire department dispatcher, and finally retired as a code enforcement specialist. She was employed by the City of Rockford for more than 30 years, retiring in 2015. Elizabeth enjoyed the beach, traveling, spending time with family, and day trips in her corvette convertible. Survivors include her husband, Mark; daughter, Caitlind “Cait” Jurasek; grandchildren, River Johnson and Wesley Johnson; mother, Elfriede England; brothers, Scott (Brenda) England and John (Kathy) England; niece, Tara (Kenneth) Edwards; nephews, Jordan (Kayt) England, Joshua (Lacey) England, and Colin (Micalynn) Hirsch; father-in-law, Frank (Joyce) Jurasek; sister-in-law, Mindy (Brian) Shockley. Funeral service at 11 a.m. Saturday, January 18, 2025, at Delehanty Funeral Home, 401 River Lane, Loves Park, IL, with visitation from 10 a.m. to service time. Burial in Rockton Township Cemetery, Rockton, IL. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the UW Madison Carbone Cancer Center in Madison, WI.
