Elizabeth Denison Jacobsen, 84, of Loves Park passed away peacefully Wednesday, October 28, 2020, in her home, in her chair, after many health issues. Born February 12, 1936, in Beloit, Wis., the daughter of William Henry and Annette P. (Johnston) Chesbrough. Married Martin Jacobsen. She had fond memories of vacations in Sarasota, Fla., through the generosity of Cindy and Ronnie. Elizabeth loved her cats, wildlife, enjoyed putting out food for the birds and peanuts for the squirrels. She was a long-term donor to the Humane Society. Elizabeth lived on the river in her home for more than 50 years. She would never forget a birthday, holiday, or special occasion. She was a great mother. Survivors include her son, Barry (Kai) Jacobsen; grandchildren, Ashley Jacobsen and Amanda (Carson) Davis; great-grandchildren, Charlotte Ann Davis and one on the way; sister, Barbara Tamburino; nieces and nephew, Cindy (Ronnie) Kramer, Kris Whetzel, Kim Tamburino, Kelly Nicholson and Rick Tamburino; daughter-in-law, Pam Jacobsen who was instrumental in Elizabeth’s care. Predeceased by her parents; husband; and son, William Jacobsen. Special thanks to Bruce Jacobsen for all he has done over the years.
