Elizabeth “Libby” A. Clark, 60, of Rockford passed away Friday, October 26, 2018. Born September 16, 1958, in Rockford, the daughter of Daniel J. and Ruth W. (Whitehead) Nicholas. Married her best friend, Jimmy Clark on October 10th, 1998. Graduated from SMU in Dallas, Texas. Employed by Mercy Health System in admitting and self-employed as a massage therapist. Member of Emmanuel Episcopal Church. Libby was an avid fundraiser, donor and volunteer for many organizations, including the Lombardi Club Board, Shelter Care Ministries, Illinois State Hospital Board, as well as serving as a member and past president of the Rockford Memorial Hospital Auxiliary. She proudly received the Philanthropist of the Year Award. She was a loving person that could light up a room. Libby loved life and lived life to the fullest. She loved to read, garden and host annual Clark parties. Libby loved her dogs and having fun with friends and family. She never met a stranger. Survivors include her husband, Jim; parents, Dan and Ruth Nicholas; sons, Jimmy (Rhoda Rae) Clark, and Jon (Ashley) Clark; special pet, Gabby; grandchildren, James, Zosima, and Jonny; siblings, Scott (Sue) Nicholas, David (Pam) Nicholas, and Julia (Brad) Zimmerman; mother-in-law, Jean Sicotte; sister-in-law, Linda Payton; and numerous nieces and nephews.
