Eleanor L. Mielke, 91, of Caledonia, IL, was called home to be with the Lord on Monday, September 9, 2024. Born September 7, 1933, in Danville, IL, the daughter of Russell and Veva (Powell) McCue. Married Harlan Mielke in Rockford, IL, and had one son, Steven. Earned her teaching degree from Rockford University and was employed by the Rockford School District for 27 years teaching 4th grade at Gregory Elementary. Eleanor was a longtime supporter of AA. Survivors include her son, Steven (Rhonda) Mielke; sister, Elva Damon; two grandchildren, Kayla (Connor) Augustyn and Bradley Bennett; two great-grandchildren, Sloane and Archie Bennett. Predeceased by parents. The family would like to give special thanks to the staff at Alden Debes Nursing home for the love and care they provided to Eleanor.

Memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, November 9, 2024, at at Delehanty Funeral Home, 401 River Lane, Loves Park, IL, with visitation from 10 a.m. to servcie time.
