Eleanor "Delores" Martin

Eleanor “Delores” (Campbell) Martin, 90, of Rockford passed away October 4, 2016, in Rockford Memorial Hospital. Born June 19, 1926, in Chicago, the daughter of Robert H. and Agnes J. (McGuire) Campbell. Graduated from Trinity College in Washington, D.C., Class of 1947. Employed as a stewardess for United Airlines from 1947 to 1949. Married Richard W. Martin on July 2, 1949, in Chicago. Member of Holy Family Catholic Church, Rockford Women’s Club, Catholic Women’s League, Club of Pelican Bay, Rockford Seedlings Garden Club and Forest Hills Country Club. Survivors include her daughter, Elizabeth “Susan” (John) Holmes; sons, Michael P. (Julie Stanicek) Martin; son-in-law, Jerald Regnier; daughter-in-law, Marsha Blank; grandchildren, Matthew (Victoria Pineiro) Holmes, Lindsey (Matthew McElhiney) Holmes, Trevor, Allison, Andrea and Corinne Martin, Jessica and Jennifer Regnier; cousins, Peggy Werly and Thomas Campbell. Predeceased by her parents; husband; children, Karen Regnier, Robert Martin and John Martin; brother, Robert Campbell, II; and cousins, Eileen Husch and Mary Ryan.

Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. Wednesday, October 12, in Holy Family Catholic Church, 4401 Highcrest Road, with visitation from 9 a.m. to service time. Entombment in Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
