Eldon Martin

Eldon Leroy Martin, 85, of Machesney Park passed away February 25, 2020, in Javon Bea Hospital. Born January 17, 1935, in Rockford, the son of Fred and Laura Jane (Edwards) Martin. Married Sharron Clark. Employed by McDermids Roofing for more than 40 years. Eldon loved to tinker, fix and build things. He was always building on something in his backyard. Eldon built his shed at 80 years old and re-roofed it at the age of 82. Survivors include his wife, Sharron; children, Gene Martin, Cindy Keen, James Martin and Jeff (Barb) Martin; grandchildren, Lance Keen, Chad Keen, Hollie Martin, Chelsea Hougan, Jason Martin and James Martin; many brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews.

Service at 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 4, 2020, in Delehanty Funeral Home, Ltd., 401 River Lane, Loves Park, with visitation from 10 a.m. to service time. Burial in Sunset Memorial Gardens.
