Elaine L. Fehler-Yates, 83, of Loves Park passed away Tuesday, February 16, 2016, in her home, surrounded by her family. Born July 9, 1932, in Mount Morris, the daughter of Leroy and Bernice (Mumma) Garman. Lived 72 years in the Rockford area, coming here from Topeka, KS. Member of Grace Lutheran Church. She enjoyed golfing, bowling and playing cards. Survivors include her children, Tim (Charyl) Fehler of Rockton, Sheri (Gary) Henson of Roscoe and Todd (Juli) Fehler of Rockford; stepdaughter, Marcia Smith of Rockford; grandkids, Chris Fehler, Holly (Jamie) Fehler-Dawson, Tina (Matt) Dettman, Erica Fetters, Karissa (Patrick) McCallum and Monica (Rhett Gunderson) Fehler; great-grandkids, Owen, Landon, Lily, Peyton, Jack, Elliette and Ilyanna; sisters, Darlene McGrew of Rockford and Phyllis Knorr of Rockton; sister-in-law, Delores Garman of Machesney Park. Predeceased by her parents; infant sons, Mark and Craig Fehler; and brothers, Darrell and Ronald Garman. The family wished to thank Heartland Hospice, especially nurses, Michelle and Cassie Jo.
Visitation from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, February 21, in Delehanty Funeral Home, Ltd., 401 River Lane, Loves Park. Private family services and burial in Greenwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, a memorial will be established.
