Dorothy A. Wilder

Dorothy A. Wilder, 100, of Rockford passed away Tuesday, June 14, 2022, in Ascension Saint Anne Place. Born December 28, 1921, in Necedah, WI, the daughter of John and Dora (Ludke) Sengpill. Graduated from Tomah High School, Class of 1938. Married Stokley C. Wilder on November 30, 1946, in Birchwood, WI. Employed as a payroll clerk by K-Mart, retiring in 1984. Member of St. Bridget Catholic Church, Catholic Women’s League, and St. Anne’s Auxiliary. Dorothy enjoyed dancing, playing cards, baking, and being with friends and family. Survivors include her son, Donald Wilder; grandchildren, Chris (Sarah) Wilder, Vic (Michelle) Wilder; great-grandchildren, Nick, Andrew, Taevien, Addy, Bailey, and Barrett. Predeceased by her parents; sister, Joan Ross; husband; and son, Dennis Wilder. Special thanks to the staff at Ascension Saint Anne Place and ProMedica Hospice.

Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. Monday, June 20, 2022, in St. Bridget Catholic Church, 600 Clifford Ave., Loves Park, with visitation from 9 a.m. to service time. Burial in Calvary Catholic Cemetery. Visitation also from 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday, June 19, 2022, in Delehanty Funeral Home, 401 River Lane, Loves Park, with Rosary recited at 6 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Walter Lawson Children’s Home.
