Dorothy Wentland

Dorothy Wentland, 81, of Machesney Park passed away Friday, February 24, 2017, in her home. Born June 17, 1935, in Rockford, the daughter of Bernard and Hilma (Broberg) Kisting.  Graduated from Muldoon High School, Class of 1953.  Married Stanley F. Wentland.  Employed by Barber-Colman for 28 years.  Member of Church of the Holy Spirit.  Dorothy was a supporter of the HCC.  She loved spending time with family and enjoyed her Bridge Club.  Avid Chicago Cubs fan.  Survivors include her husband, Stan; children, Joanne (Jim) Webb, Mary Witt, Thomas (Rose) Wentland, John (Kim) Wentland, Joe Wentland, Theresa (Gordon) Reilly, Susan (Jimmy) Cunningham and Michael Wentland; 20 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; sister, Maggie Hevrin; brother, Raymond (June) Kisting; numerous nieces and nephews.  Predeceased by parents; sisters, Bernadine Sisti and Mary Dolores Kisting; and brother, Bob Kisting.

Memorial service at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 4, 2017, in Delehanty Funeral Home, Ltd., 401 River Lane, Loves Park, with visitation from 10 a.m. to service time and Rosary recited at 9 a.m. In lieu of flowers, a memorial will be established.
