Dorothy A. Manning, 94, of Loves Park passed away peacefully Wednesday, March 2, 2016. Born August 8, 1921, in Rockton, IL., the daughter of Lawrence C. and Julia (Corrigan) Turney. Married Russell C. Manning, Jr., on September 27, 1941, in Rockford. Employed by Barber-Colman for 20 years, retiring in 1984. Member of St. Chad’s Episcopal Church and Eastern Star. Dorothy was an avid Chicago Cubs fan. She loved spending time with family, friends and long walks. Survivors include sons, Russell (Patti) Manning of Beloit and Ronald (Rowena) Manning of Florence, KY; grandchildren, Jeff Manning, Julie (Lee) Glover, Kevin (Amy) Manning, Stacie (Zac) Whalen, Alan (Jennifer) Bach, Thomas Bach and Bradley (Rebecca) Bach; 15 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandson; brother, Terry (Lillie) Turney; numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by granddaughter, Trisha Manning; brothers, Albert and Roger Turney; and sister, Grace Smith.

Service at 10:30 a.m. Monday, March 7, in Delehanty Funeral Home, Ltd., 401 River Lane, Loves Park, with visitation from 9:30 a.m. to service time. Entombment in Sunset Memorial Gardens.
