Dorothy Haws

Dorothy M. Haws, 94, of Loves Park passed away Tuesday, January 5, 2021, surrounded by her family.  Born May 1, 1926, in Blytheville, Arkansas, the daughter of William and Alma (Grimes) Prince.  Married Harold E. Haws on November 15, 1972, in Rockford.  Employed by Barber-Colman for 27 years, retiring in 1988.  She loved spending time with family.  Dorothy enjoyed playing bingo, bowling, and trips to Las Vegas.  Survivors include her daughter, Kathy (Bruce) Bull of Machesney Park; grandchildren, Tonya Bull of Machesney Park, Ranada (Darrick) Young of Grimes, Iowa, Chad (Kristie) Bull of Machesney Park and Austin (Paige Newton) Bull of Loves Park; great-grandchildren, Brandon (Abigail) Young, Taylor (Cody) Van Sickle, Tyler Bull, Brianna Bull, and Jaxxon Bull; numerous nieces and nephews.  Predeceased by her husband, Harold; sisters, Mildred Turner and Pauline Parrish; and brother, Thomas Prince.  Special thanks to Mercy Hospice, especially Susan for their loving care and to Eddie and Sandy for their cards, calls and visits.
