Doris M. Huene, 86, of Machesney Park, IL, passed away on Sunday, November 5, 2023, at Alden Park Strathmoor. Born June 25, 1937, in Beloit, WI, the daughter of Charles and Marie (Hudson) Andrus. She married John Huene on April 27, 1974, in Rockford, IL. Member of Journey Church and Friends of North Suburban Library where she helped raise money over the years. Survivors include her husband, John, who passed away the following day to be with his beloved wife; her children, Susan (Donald) Kidd, Crystal Huene (daughter-in-law), Christine Catron, Janice (Mickey) Holley, Patsy (Marty) Martin, Steven (Jeanne) Catron, Elizabeth (William) Boyle, John (Kim) Huene, and Charles (Merlin) Huene. Predeceased by her parents; and son, Steven Huene.
Memorial service at 4 p.m. Thursday, November 9, 2023, at Journey Church, 7825 Forest Hills Road, Loves Park, IL. Cremation rites are accorded. Inurnment at a later date in Willwood Burial Park. Arrangements by Delehanty Funeral Home, 401 River Lane, Loves Park.
