Donna Jean (Graham) Reynolds, wife, mom, grandma, great-grandma, aunt, and sweet friend, 86, of Rockford passed away peacefully Sunday, May 3, 2020, in her home at the Grand Victorian. Born February 7, 1934, in Rockford, the daughter of Emerson and Dorothy (McDonald) Phillips. Graduated from West High School in 1952. Married her high-school sweetheart, William “Bill” Graham on July 3, 1953. Donna enjoyed being a homemaker; together they raised their three children and always made family vacations a priority. After Bill’s passing in 1977, Donna married Edward “Ed” Reynolds on September 6, 1980. They enjoyed traveling with friends, owned Ginders-Graham Ambulance Service, and had 30 wonderful years together. She was blessed to have had two great husbands during her lifetime. Her love for her family was unconditional for which we are forever grateful. Her “precious” grandchildren and great-grandchildren were her pride and joy! She was a lover of Coca-Cola and chocolate turtles, and always had a well-stocked candy bowl. The last few years, she especially enjoyed car rides to the park, lunch outings, hanging out with her grand-pup, Josie, and Jon’s concerts at the Grand Victorian. She was a member of St. Bridget Catholic Church and had a beautiful, simple faith. She truly was one of the sweetest women you could ever meet and was very loved. Her beautiful smile and kind heart will be missed by all who knew her! Survivors include her children, David (Julie Furniss) Graham and Julie (Steve) Schneider; grandchildren, Joshua (Emily Plumb), Alexandria (Tony Ford), Jacob (Jordan St. Vincent), and William (Stephanie) Graham, Ryan (Lindsey Mack) Schneider and Jenna (Evan) Frisella; great-grandchildren, Carter and Waverly Jean Graham, Jacob Frisella and Nova Ford; stepchildren, Therese Hallberg and Thomas Reynolds; step-grandchildren, Justin (Alison), Rebbekah (Jonathan Garoza), and Jordan (Amber) Hallberg, and Alexandria (Dante) Leoni; step-great-grandchildren, Charlotte, Max, Kendal and Catherine Hallberg, Amiyah Wyrick, Samantha, Starlit and Brielle; several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents; husbands; brother, Richard Phillips; son, Gary Graham; grandchildren, Benjamin Schneider and Zachary Graham. The family would like to extend most sincere thanks to the staff at the Grand Victorian for their tender, loving care the last three years and to Northern Illinois Hospice for their compassionate care the last few weeks. You were a blessing to our family.
A memorial service will be held at a later date. Private family burial was in Greenwood Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Rockford Rescue Mission, St. Bridget Catholic Church, Northern Illinois Hospice, or a charity of your choice.
