Donald J. Wilder, 76, of Loves Park, IL, passed away on Tuesday, April 15, 2025. Born November 24, 1948, in Rockford, IL, the son of Stokley C. and Dorothy A. (Sengpill) Wilder. He married Patrizia M. Christensen on April 11, 1970, in Rockford. Employed in law enforcement for more than 30 years and retired as Roscoe Police Chief. He enjoyed fishing and hunting. Avid Green Bay Packer fan. Survivors include his sons, Christopher (Sarah) Wilder and Victoir (Michelle) Wilder; grandchildren, Nicholas (Michelle) Massetti, Andrew Massetti, Taevien Coogan, Addelyn Wilder, Bailey Wilder, Barrett Wilder, and Aerianna Cicero; great-grandchildren, Cross Cicero and Gabbi Massetti. Predeceased by his parents; wife; and brother, Dennis Wilder. Special thanks to Northern Illinois Hospice.
Service at 4:30 p.m. Friday, April 25, 2025, at Delehanty Funeral Home, 401 River Lane, Loves Park, with visitation from 2:30 p.m. to service time. Cremation rites accorded. In lieu of flowers, a memorial will be established.
