Donald "Don" Hawkins

Donald “Don” D. Hawkins, 81, of Avon Park, FL, formerly of Loves Park, IL, passed away Saturday, May 13, 2017, in Sebring, FL. Born March 26, 1936, in Attica, WI, the son of Dean and Laura (Williams) Hawkins.  Married Delores L. Stauffacher on June 29, 1955, in Broadhead, WI.  Employed by Yellow Transportation, retiring in November 1998.  Member of LLL Club and Teamster Retiree.  He enjoyed fishing, NASCAR and was a CB enthusiast radio.  Survivors include daughters, Debra (Larry) Tate of Shell Knob., MO, Beverly (Don) Dressler of Rockton, IL, and Peggy (Brad) Lundstrum of Loves Park, IL; son, Brian (Mary) Hawkins of Machesney Park, IL; grandchildren, Travis Tate, Christopher Sorensen, Jacob Hawkins and John Hawkins; sister, Nora Belle (Wayne) Nipple; numerous nieces and nephews.  Predeceased by his wife; and sister, Charolette Cassidy.

Service at noon Saturday, May 20, in Delehanty Funeral Home, Ltd., 401 River Lane, Loves Park, with visitation from 10 a.m. to service time. Burial in Greenwood Cemetery, Brodhead, WI.  In lieu of flowers, a memorial will be established.
