Donald L. Dieterman, 85, of Rockford passed on Thursday, March 2, 2017. Born April 14, 1931, in Cedarville, the son of Albert and Vera M. (Daniels) Dieterman, Sr. Married Louise B. Vaughan on January 28, 1951, in Rockford. Owned and operated A Town & Country Sanitary Service for years, retiring in 2000. Avid Chicago Cubs fan. He loved watching John Wayne movies. Donald enjoyed camping and spending time at the beach after retiring in Alabama. Survivors include his daughter, Nancy (Jeff) Henne; grandchildren, Paul (Sydney) Cornn, Jacob (Joy) Calhoun, Sam Cornn, Angela (Joe) Grimaldi, Steven DeWitt, Rose (Daniel) Oswald and Becky (Kevin) Russell; great-grandchildren, Aerin Cornn, Taiylor Calhoun, Zack Cornn, Kathryn Cornn, Zoey Grimaldi, Olivya Meyer, Jordan Russell, Caleb Grimaldi, Grace Calhoun, Laylan Oswald and Genesis Russell. Predeceased by his parents; wife; daughters, Kay Calhoun, Ruth DeWitt; son-in-law, Johnny Calhoun; granddaughter, Kristy Calhoun; great-grandson, Vincent Grimaldi; brothers, Albert Dieterman, Jr., and Richard Dieterman; sister, Patricia Beach; and mother-in-law, Ruth Vaughan.
Memorial service at 11 a.m. Monday, March 13, in Delehanty Funeral Home, Ltd., 401 River Lane, Loves Park, with visitation from 10 a.m. to service time. Inurnment in Sunset Memorial Gardens.
