Donald R. Burton, 79, of South Beloit passed away Saturday, December 24, 2016, in his residence, surrounded by his loved ones. Donald was born August 13, 1937, in Centerville, Iowa. He was employed as a semi-truck driver for 54 years until retiring in 2009. He married his “Sunshine,” Denise C. Buelow on November 6, 1997. He is survived by his loving wife, Denise; son, Randy (Ruby) Burton; brother, James (Thressa) Robinson; brother-in-law, Michael (Karen) Buelow; sister-in-law, Marlys (Lorrie) Buelow; his beloved nieces, Kaitlynn Buelow, Abbigale Buelow, Kassandra (Joseph) Nepean and Alexandra (Stephen) Whittaker; nephews, David (Danielle) Buelow, Joseph (Candi) Buelow and John (Nikki) Buelow; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Predeceased by his parents. Don was a kind, loving and generous person. He will be missed by his family and friends.
Services at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, December 29, 2016, in Delehanty Funeral Home, Ltd., 401 River Lane, Loves Park, Illinois, with visitation from 9:30 a.m. to time of services. Burial in Greenwood Cemetery, Galena, Illinois. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Beloit Regional Hospice.
