Don Eddy

Don M. Eddy, 79, of Machesney Park passed away Thursday, October 7, 2021, in his home surrounded by his loving family.  Born July 15, 1942, in Santa Monica, CA, the son of Harry and Betty (Pinkerton) Eddy.  Veteran of the U.S. Army serving in the 9th Cavalry.  Married Rose Neiber on April 5, 1974.  Retired from Comet Fabricating.  Don loved his dog, Jack, traveling, going on car rides, shopping, working on cars, small engines, and model trains.  He enjoyed history, museums, especially military history. Don loved listening to music and having a good time.  Survivors include his wife, Rose; daughters, Ann (Sean) and Lora (Chad); grandchildren, Audrie Eddy, Allissa Lightheart, Abby Christensen, and Austin Hood; great-grandchildren, Raélynn Rose Eddy-Bryson and Ocean Don Eddy-Bryson; sister Marcia Bloom; and his dog, Jack.  Predeceased by his parents; and son, Michael Eddy.

Memorial visitation from 2 to 4 p.m. Wednesday, October 13, 2021, in Delehanty Funeral Home, Ltd., 401 River Lane, Loves Park.  In lieu of flowers, memorials to the family.
