Dolores E. Kolenda

Dolores E. Kolenda, 91, of Roscoe, IL, passed away on Sunday, July 12, 2026, in her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born on Tuesday, December 4, 1934, in Rockford, IL, the daughter of Donald G. and Audrey B. (Kuntzelman) Hooker. She married Donald J. Kolenda on December 1, 1954. Member of St. Bridget Catholic Church. She loved Jesus. Dolores enjoyed reading. Her favorite authors were John Grisham and James Patterson. Survivors include her daughters, Kelly Carroll and Koreen (Gary) Meadows; son, Kyle (Erin) Kolenda; grandchildren, Melissa, Michael, Haley, and Taylor; great-grandchildren, Ella, Carlie, Luke, Hampton, Sutton, Axl, and Maddon; sisters, Sharon (Jerry) Glawe and April Jackson; several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents; husband; son, Kevin D. Kolenda; son-in-law, Richard Carroll; and brother-in-law, Terry Jackson.

Memorial Mass at 11 a.m. July 27, 2026, in St. Bridget Catholic Church, 600 Clifford Ave., Loves Park, IL. Cremation rites accorded. Private family inurnment in Sunset Memorial Gardens, Machesney Park, IL. Arrangements by Delehanty Funeral Home, 401 River Lane, Loves Park, IL. In lieu of flowers, a memorial will be established.
