Dolly Jean Lawver, 88, of Loves Park passed away Monday, August 27, 2018, in P.A. Peterson at the Citadel, surrounded by her family. She was born March 9, 1930, in New Auburn, WI, the daughter of Edgar P. and Bernice A. (Compeau) Rehm. Dolly married Howard D. Lawver on April 13, 1957, in Machesney Park. They made a life, a home and a family together in the Loves Park area. Dolly and Howard were blessed with 48 years of marriage. She was employed as a legal secretary for Williams McCarthy, LLC, for many years. She was also a Stanley Home Products representative in her retirement years. In her younger years, Dolly enjoyed bowling and square dancing. She also enjoyed playing cards, bingo, crossword puzzles, taking pictures and spending time with her family. She was a long-time member of Concordia Lutheran Church. Survivors include her sons, Barry Lawver of Loves Park, Kevin (Terri) Lawver of Kendall, WI, and Kelly (Linda) Lawver of Loves Park; grandchildren, Michael Lawver, Connie Lawver, Jason (Megan) Lawver, Zach (Becky) Lawver, Matt (Kate) Lawver, Alyssa (Tristan) Ross, Kelsey (Marcus) Badger, Krysten Lawver, Nicholas Lawver, Haylee Lawver, David (Holly) Burk and K’Lynn Lawver; 19 great-grandchildren; sister, Shirley Ling of Rockford; numerous nieces, nephews and dear friends. Predeceased by her husband; parents; brother, Jerry Rehm; and great-grandson, Tre Howard Ross.
Service at 11 a.m. Friday, August 31, in Concordia Lutheran Church, 7424 North 2nd Street, Machesney Park, with visitation from 10 a.m. to service time. Burial in Sunset Memorial Gardens. Arrangements by Delehanty Funeral Home, Ltd., of Loves Park.
