Diane G. (Garr) Gaziano, 78, of Machesney Park, passed away Friday, October 5, 2018. Born May 24, 1940, in Rockford the daughter of Leonard and LuVerne (O’Donnell) Leppert. Retired from OSF St. Anthony in 2006 after 17 years. After retirement she volunteered at St. Anthony for many years. Diane was a member and former treasurer of the Blackhawk Trails Walking Club and served as an election judge for many years. Member of St. Bridget Catholic Church. Survivors include children, Diana (Tim) Outzen, Deborah (Mary Hines) Garr, Daniel (Diane) Garr, Denise (Matt) VanFleet, Joseph (Marta) Gaziano and Leonard (Natalie) Gaziano; grandchildren, Brandi (Sal) Covarrubias, Timothy Outzen, Josh (Jaci) Cameron, George (Chantyl) Outzen, Tiffani (Paul) Wollenberg, Kaitlyn (Timothy) Meeker, Daniel and Nicholas VanFleet, Joseph and Dominick Gaziano; great-grandchildren, Emilio, Salvador, Collin, Kelsi, Ehren, Elizabeth, and William; brothers, James (Sharon) Leppert and William (Connie) Leppert, two sisters-in-law, brother-in-law, and many loved nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Predeceased by husband, Joseph A. Gaziano in 2012; husband, Daniel W. Garr in 1970, and sister, Louise E. Olson. She loved all unconditionally and a beautiful welcoming smile shown on her face always.
Mass of Christian Burial 10:30 a.m. Thursday, October 11, 2018, at St. Bridget Catholic Church, 600 Clifford Ave., Loves Park. Visitation from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Delehanty Funeral Home, 401 River Lane, Loves Park. Burial in Sunset Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, a memorial to be established.
