Dennis Haeggquist

Dennis Maynard Haeggquist, 67, of Knoxville, TN, formerly of Hartselle, AL, and Machesney Park, IL, passed away August 25, 2017, in his home.  Born April 24, 1950, in Rockton, IL, the son of Maynard and Lucille (Vincer) Haeggquist. Dennis attended Christ Covenant Church in Farragut, TN. He retired from the Eaton Corporation. Dennis was a veteran of the Vietnam conflict, serving in the U.S. Marine Corp. He was a member of the American Legion, Post 0052 in Hartselle, AL, and a member of NRA. Survivors include his wife, Deborah Ann Clark; sons, Eric Haeggquist of Chicago, IL, and Nate Haeggquist of Machesney Park, IL; step-children, David Clark, Kristen Clark, Heather Clark and Mark Clark; sister and brother-in-law, Shirley and Chuck Thompson of Stillman Valley, IL; brothers and sisters-in-law, Wayne and Ida Haeggquist of Oswego, KS, Terry and Jan Haeggquist of Rockford, IL; several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents; and the mother of his children, Kathy (Ferrari) Haeggquist.

Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday, August 31, at Delehanty Funeral Home, Ltd., 401 River Lane, Loves Park, IL. Graveside service will follow at 11:30 a.m. at Willwood Burial Park, 7000 West State Street, Rockford, IL, with full military honors.
