Dennis R. “Denny” Dunn, 73, of South Beloit, IL, passed away Monday, January 15, 2024, in his home after a lengthy battle with his health. Born February 27, 1950, in Rockford, IL, the son of Melvin L. and Lorraine (Smith) Dunn. He married Kathy (Bousum) Spickler on April 4, 1988, in Janesville, WI. Employed by Warner Lambert for 25 years. After retirement Dennis spent his remaining years chasing the “elusive” walleye. He achieved the rank of fourth-degree black belt. He owned and operated Red Dragon Martial Arts where he taught numerous students over the years. Denny enjoyed fishing, the outdoors, and made the ride to a Sturgis Bike Rally on his Harley. Survivors include his wife, Kathy; daughter, Traci (Kerry Loss) Dunn; son, Chuck Dunn; grandchildren, Tabitha (Josh) Brabazon and Shelby Gibbs; great-granddaughter, Brinley Dunn; and brother, Jerry (Deborah) Dunn. Predeceased by his parents; one brother; and one sister.

Memorial service at 2 p.m. Tuesday, January 23, 2024, at Delehanty Funeral Home, 401 River Lane, Loves Park, IL, with visitation from 1 p.m. to service time. Cremation rites accorded.
