Delores "Dee" Scott

Delores “Dee” R. Scott, 92, of Rockford passed away Saturday, February 5, 2022, in Wesley Willows.  Born February 16, 1929, in De Kalb, the daughter of Burton and Rachel (Davis) Miller.  Married Wayne R. Scott on August 4, 1951, in Maple Park.  Formerly owned and operated Scott Oil and Scott Enterprises.  Former member of Forest Hills Country Club where she enjoyed golfing with her friends.  She and her husband, Wayne, were proud sponsors and philanthropists in the Rockford and Loves Park area.  They thoroughly enjoyed supporting many of the local not-for-profits as well as the Loves Park Police and Fire Departments.  Survivors include her sister, Sharon (Bob) Phillips; numerous nieces and nephews.  Predeceased by her parents and husband.

Private services were held.  Inurnment in Owen Center Cemetery, Rockford.  In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Loves Park Fire Department.  Arrangements by Delehanty Funeral Home, Ltd., 401 River Lane, Loves Park.
