Delbert "Deb" Thomas

Delbert “Deb” L. Thomas, 82, of Machesney Park passed away peacefully Thursday, March 19, 2020, surrounded by family. Veteran of the U.S. Army. Member of Local 150 International Union of Operating Engineers for 61 years. Deb and his wife, Donna, were avid travelers, visiting all 50 states. He enjoyed fishing and hunting. Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Donna; son, Brett (Lisa) Thomas; daughters, Denise (Adam) Barnes and Debbie (Chad) Parks; grandchildren, Damien (Chely), Kyle, Cody (Michelle), Dustin and Jordan Thomas; great-grandchildren, Damien, Devin, Bella, Kali, Audrina, Antonio, KaMari and Zamari; brothers, Donald (Sue) and Joe (Debbie) Thomas; and sisters, Shirlene Thoman, Phyllis Brown, Erma Leib and Sharon West. Predeceased by his parents; 1 brother and 1 sister. The family wishes to thank friends and neighbors for their love and kindness.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.  Arrangements by Delehanty Funeral Home, Ltd., 401 River Lane, Loves Park. In lieu of flowers, a memorial will be established.
