Debra Whidby

Debra Lynn Whidby, 66, of Loves Park passed away Monday, December 28, 2020, in her home.  Born November 15, 1954, in Rockford, the daughter of Laverne and Bessie (Carter) Smith.  She married the love of her life, Richard “Rick” E. Whidby.  Retired from the Harlem School District.  Debra loved spending time with family, especially her grandchildren.  She has many close and loving friends and co-workers.  She enjoyed going out to dinner and spending time with many of her closest friends.  Survivors include her loving husband of 44 years, Rick; daughter, Nikki (Robert) Collins; grandchildren, Noah Collins, Keegan (fiancé, Ty Williams) Keip, Karah Keip, Bobby Collins and Madelynn Collins; siblings, Mary Stone, Jerry (Susan) Smith and Sharon Clark; siblings-in-law, Barb (Terry) Davidson, Jenni (Alex) Stormont, Mike (Colleen) Whidby, and Tammy (Dean) Bieber; numerous nieces and nephews.  Predeceased by her parents; siblings, Anna Stone, Bonnie Shipley, James Smith and Leroy Smith; and siblings-in-law, Morris Whidby, Jr., and Frieda Whidby.

A celebration of life will be at a later date.  Cremation rites accorded.  Arrangements by Delehanty Funeral Home, Ltd., 401 River Lane, Loves Park.
