Debra Beard

Debra Sue Beard, 57, of Machesney Park passed away Saturday, March 17, 2018, in her home.   Born April 24, 1960, in Rockford, the daughter of Wendell and Dawn M. (Nelson) Halford.   Married David Beard on September 9, 1977, in Rockford.  Debra was a loving wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt and babysitter for her nephews.   She loved Bugs Bunny, cooking, baking, crafts, crocheting, reading and puzzles.   She enjoyed video games, especially Nintendo, nature, dogs, especially basset hounds and her favorite color was green.   She also loved time with family.   Survivors include her husband, David; son, Joshua (Kristin) Beard; granddaughter, Reese; her mother, Dawn Haggard; two brothers, Steve (Jeanette) and Rodney (Jenny) Martin; sister, Patti Martin; nephews, Logan and Jayden; nieces, Tasha and Alexandria; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.   Predeceased by infant brother, Richard Martin.

Memorial service at 2 p.m., Saturday, March 24, 2018 in Forest Hills Evangelical Free Church, 5183 Pebble Creek Trail, Loves Park.  In lieu of flowers, memorials to the family.   Arrangements by Delehanty Funeral Home, Ltd., 401 River Lane, Loves Park.
