Deborah "Debbie" Lawrence

Deborah “Debbie” Ann Lawrence, 68, of Rockford passed away Saturday, September 18, 2021.  Born February 2, 1953, in Detroit, MI, the daughter of Robert A. and Mona (Hornbeck) Lawrence.  Member of Forest City Church, formerly Heartland Church.  She was a devoted caretaker for her mother for several years.  Debbie loved music, walks, reading and yoga.  Survivors include her son, Bill Schlagel; grandson, Dalton Schlagel; loving mother, Mona Lawrence; sister, Pamela K. Cherney; brother, William “Jack” Lawrence; and several nieces and nephews.  Predeceased by her father.
Memorial service at 2 p.m. Friday, October 15, 2021, in Delehanty Funeral Home, Ltd., 401 River Lane, Loves Park, with visitation from 1 p.m. to service time.  Cremation rites accorded.
