Deanna Evelyn McDaniel

Deanna “DeDe” Evelyn McDaniel, 74, of Machesney Park, IL, passed away Saturday, August 20, 2022, in her home, from cancer. DeDe was born November 10, 1947, in Rockford, IL, the daughter of Fingal and Evelyn (Easton) Lilagren. She married Raymond McDaniel on June 15, 1968, in Loves Park, IL. She was a lifelong member of Grace Lutheran Church. DeDe was a people person; she loved talking to people, going shopping and out to eat with friends. She loved to do crafts. DeDe made gift baskets and donated many of them to various charity events and fundraisers. She also loved to make cupcakes for others for any occasion. Survivors include her husband, Raymond; children, Mariann McDaniel and Tim (Heather) McDaniel; grandson, Logan; brother, Frank (Susan) Lilagren; niece, Amanda Lilagren; nephew, David (Gina) Lilagren; great-niece, Mollie; extended family and many close friends. She was predeceased by her parents.

Service at 11 a.m. Friday, August 26, 2022, in Grace Lutheran Church, 343 Grand Ave., Loves Park, with visitation from 10 a.m. to service time. Burial in Scandinavian Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Grace Lutheran Sunday School. Arrangements by Delehanty Funeral Home, Loves Park.
