Deanna “Dee” J. McBride, 84, of Rockford passed away Wednesday, May 18, 2022. Born January 2, 1938, in Rockford, the daughter of Louis and Marvel (Scott) Houseweart. Graduated from Harlem High School, Class of 1955. Married Melvin L. McBride on August 3, 1957, in Rockford. Formerly employed by Northwest Bank and most recently employed by Whitehead Realty. Volunteered with VNA Hospice. Member of North Suburban Women’s Club. Dee loved spending time with family, animals, bird watching, cooking, and baking. Avid movie buff. Survivors include her children, Vikki McBride, Dawn (Robin) Newgard, Lisa (Paul) Rehfeldt and Scott (Nicole) McBride; grandchildren, Eryka (Pase) Lupeamanu, Janell (David) Harroun, Ashley (Matt) Kurtz, Whitney (Jake) Nicholson, Alyssa McBride, Hannah and Cory Rehfeldt, Colin, Morgan, Riley, Cameron, and Zoei McBride; great-grandchildren, Zachary, Jordan, Logan, Delaney, Olivia, Ariana, Sophia, Harrison, Jackson, and one on the way; brothers, Wayne (Belinda) Houseweart, Randy (Cathy Liguori) Toews, and Bob Toews. Predeceased by her parents; and husband.
Memorial service at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 28, 2022, in Delehanty Funeral Home, 401 River Lane, Loves Park, with memorial visitation from 10 a.m. to service time. Cremation rites accorded. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Noah’s Ark or Mercyhealth at Home Hospice.
