David Womack

David J. Womack “Dresser Dave”, 66, of Rockford passed away Friday, April 17, 2020, in Rosewood Care Center. Born March 15, 1954, in Rockford, the son of John W. and Elsie H. (Schade) Womack. Employed by Laborers Local 32. Member of Grace Lutheran Church. He loved hunting, fishing, riding his Harley, his dogs and fixing things, especially electronics. Survivors include his daughters, Jodi (Wayne) Peters, Tori (Edwin Diaz) Womack and Cortnie (Benjamin “Opey”) Womack-Haynes; grandchildren, Austin, Rylie, Tony, Kyle, Amayah, Alahnie and Hayden; great-grandchildren, Rowan and Emilio; siblings, Lois and Robert; many nieces, nephews and a host of other family and friends. Predeceased by his parents; ex-wife, Kathy St. John; siblings, Lawrence, Clarence, Dorothy, Al, Dick, Bill, Roger, Pat, Judy, Keith, Eugene and Elaine; and longtime canine companion, Lokota.

Services are private with burial in Sunset Memorial Gardens, 8800 North Alpine Road, Machesney Park. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the family. Arrangements by Delehanty Funeral Home, Ltd., 401 River Lane, Loves Park.
