David “Dave” O. Tanner, 71, of Rockton passed away peacefully Wednesday, May 3, 2017, at home, surrounded by his loving family. Born September 30, 1945, in Oconto, WI, the son of Otis and Margaret (Dawson) Tanner. Dave graduated from Winnebago High School and attended Southern Methodist University in Dallas, TX. Married Carol Dworak on September 11, 1965. His working career included production manager, logistic manager and purchasing agent. He enjoyed spending time with family, traveling and day trips with friends. Dave liked to golf, play poker with buddies, various hobbies and was an active volunteer for the Friends of Lockwood Park. Survivors include his wife, Carol; daughter, Donna (Duane) Busjahn; son, John (companion, Kim) Tanner; grandchildren, Richard Busjahn and Camie (Cory) Richards; great-granddaughter, Carol Marie Busjahn; brother, Jon (Adele) Tanner; numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents.
Memorial service at noon Wednesday, May 10, in Delehanty Funeral Home, Ltd., 401 River Lane, Loves Park, with visitation from 10 a.m. to service time. In lieu of flowers, a memorial will be established.
