David Ratte

David Joseph Ratte, 43, of Knoxville, TN, passed away Friday, December 1, 2017. Born June 21, 1974, in Rockford, IL.  He was raised in Northern Illinois, later moving to Knoxville, TN, in 1994. Dave worked in the restaurant industry.  He enjoyed music, he made friends very easily and was known for his great sense of humor and quick wit.  But most of all, he loved spending time with his son, Henri.  Survivors include his son, Henri; mother and step-father, Jodi and Dolph Gunther; child’s mother and special friend, Gina Parvin; grandmother, Marilyn Oliver; aunts and uncles, John Dahle; Jan and John Carabelli, Renee Ratte and Bruce Ratte; cousins, Michael and Adam Dahle, Jacob and Julia Carabelli and Stacie Wax.  Predeceased by his maternal grandparents, Betty and John H. Dahle.

Service at 2 p.m. Saturday, December 9, 2017, in Delehanty Funeral Home, Ltd., 401 River Lane, Loves Park, with visitation from 1 p.m. to service time. Inurnment at a later date in Pinnacle Hill Cemetery, Roscoe, IL.  In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to your local animal shelter.
