David Greenlee King, 68, of Loves Park, IL, passed away on Monday, January 5, 2026, at Javon Bea Hospital. Born on Tuesday, September 17, 1957, in Rockford, IL, the son of Richard W. and Wanetta E. (Talkington) King. Owned and operated Richard King & Sons. David enjoyed wood carving and restoring Woodie Cars. Survivors include his mother, Wanetta King; brother, Tracy King; sister, Peggy (Robert) Roettger; nieces and nephews, Melinda (Brant) Reed, Justin (Astyne) Roettger, Jered King, and Ryan (Katie) King; great-nieces and -nephews, Elizabeth (Zach) Reed, Aidan Reed, Ethan King, Evan King, Eli King, Sawyer King, Railyn King, Gracielyn King, and Wyck Roettger. Predeceased by his father, Richard King; and brother, Robert King.

Funeral service at noon Wednesday, January 14, 2026, in Delehanty Funeral Home, 401 River Lane, Loves Park, with visitation from 10 a.m. to service time. Cremation rites accorded.
