David A. Carrico, 53, of Loves Park, IL, was reunited with his mother on Sunday, February 18, 2024. Born November 27, 1970, in Rockford, IL, the son of Adell and Garnet (McNeal) Carrico. Attended Harlem High School. Employed as a cement mason for several area businesses. Member of Local 11 Plasters and Cement Masons. Avid Chicago Bear, Cubs, Blackhawk, and Bulls fan. David loved spending time with his grandson. He enjoyed puzzles, playing sports, and betting on the ponies. Survivors include his daughter, Ashley Carrico; son, Derek Carrico; grandson, Owen; love of his life, Tanya Birmingham; brothers, Kenny Carrico and Brian (Emily) Carrico; sisters, Debbie Greer, Barb (Ron) Carlson, and Karen (Bob) Sanders; many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents; and son, Jimmy Birmingham.
Visitation will be from 2 to 3 p.m. Friday, February 23, 2024, at Delehanty Funeral Home, 401 River Lane, Loves Park. Cremation rites accorded.
