Darrell J. Cook, 70, of Loves Park, IL, passed away on Wednesday, April 9, 2025. Born January 31, 1955, in Rockford, IL, the son of William J. and Dorothy J. (Hettesheimer) Cook. He married Shelly J. Belcher on July 10, 1976, in Loves Park. Employed by Rockford Products. Darrell helped in the pits at the Rockford Speedway. He was the lead guitarist for his band, Run-A-Bouts. Darrell enjoyed spending time, playing with, and picking on his grandsons. Survivors include his wife, Shelly; daughter, Stacey (Jim) Schultz; grandchildren, Jackson and Samuel Schultz; mother-in-law, Rosa; and their four-legged companion, Shelby.

Service at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 12, 2025, at Delehanty Funeral Home, 401 River Lane, Loves Park, with visitation from 10 a.m. to service time. Entombment in Sunset Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, a memorial will be established.
