Darlene I. Burkman, 89, of Orange Beach, AL, passed away on Wednesday, September 10, 2025. She was born on August 6, 1936, in Wisconsin, the daughter of Cleo Perkins and Zeo B. (Apfel) Perkins. She married Roger Burkman on June 26, 1954. She was employed as a bank professional with Park State Bank for many years. Member of Grace Lutheran Church. Darlene enjoyed traveling, cooking and spending time with friends. She loved her family and experiencing new restaurants. Survivors include her son, Larry (Julie) Burkman; daughter, Deborah (Jeff Dinkle) Kiser; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; siblings, Larry (Char) Perkins, and Steve (Diane Hutchens Peterson) Perkins; numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents; husband, Roger; infant son, Bradley; brothers, Calvin, Bud, and Bob Perkins; and sister, Shirley McCaslin.
Memorial service at 11 a.m. Friday, October 24, 2025, at Delehanty Funeral Home, 401 River Lane, Loves Park, IL. Cremation rites accorded. In lieu of flowers, a memorial will be established.
