Daniel J. Sterkeson, 38, of Rockford passed away Monday, November 13, 2017. Born June 4, 1979, in Rockford, the son of John W. and Nancy S. (Grewe) Sterkeson. Attended Auburn High School. Graduated from East High School, Class of 1997. Avid Chicago Bears fan. Survivors include his father, John (Mary Lou) Sterkeson of Rockford; mother, Nancy Grewe; daughters, Paige Sterkeson and Alexis Sterkeson; brothers, Tony Grandstaff, Brian (Barbara) Sterkeson, Keith Sterkeson, Craig Sterkeson, Scott Sterkeson, Erik (Danielle) Nelson and Brian (Lisa) Nelson; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
Memorial service at 11 a.m. Saturday, November 18, in United Lutheran Church, 3630 N. Rockton Ave., Rockford, with visitation from 9 a.m. to service time. In lieu of flowers, a memorial will be established. Arrangements by Delehanty Funeral Home, Ltd., Loves Park.
