Daniel Jay Gouchenour, 55, of Loves Park was called home Sunday, November 4, 2018, in his home. Born November 23, 1962, in Rockford, the son of Eugene B. and Rita A. (Clark) Gouchenour. Married Tammera J. Evans. Employed by Winnebago County for 12 years, formerly employed by Elco-Textron for 17 years. Member of Grace Lutheran Church. He loved the Bears, Cubs and White Sox. Daniel was an avid NASCAR and race fan. He did charitable work for police charities and Dave Syverson’s campaign. Daniel loved his family, had a big heart, helped anyone in need, was generous and a hard worker. Daniel loved socializing over a Miller Lite at Vic & Jims. Daniel loved the holidays, often dressing up as Santa to visit nursing homes. He loved Sweet Corn Days in Mendota with his Uncle Fred and Aunt Colleen. Survivors include his wife, Tami; children, Danielle and Jacob; mother, Rita (Joseph) Ament; brothers, Todd (Darlene) Gouchenour and Dennis Gouchenour; sister, Susan Garnhart; brother-in-law, Patrick Smith; special aunt, Kim Evans-Eklund; grand-dog, Luna; several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Predeceased by his father; loving stepfather, Clyde Garnhart; aunt, Joanne; and uncle, Bill.
Memorial service at 5 p.m. Thursday, November 8, in Delehanty Funeral Home, Ltd., 401 River Lane, Loves Park, with visitation from 3 p.m. to service time.
