Dan B. Harvey, 69, of Rockford, IL, passed away Friday, January 27, 2023. Born April 1, 1953, in Rockford, the son of Raymond B. and Rosemary F. (Fickes) Harvey. Graduated from Guilford High School, Class of 1971 and from Western Illinois, Class of 1975. Married Donna Woodruff on June 28, 1991, in Rockford. Employed by Ingersoll Milling for 27 years, and retired as a probation officer from Winnebago County after 10 years in 2016. Avid Chicago Bear and Cubs fan. Dan was an all-around sports enthusiast. He enjoyed golfing, cooking, and woodworking. Dan loved holidays and spending time with family. Survivors include his wife, Donna; daughters, Rebecca (Brian) Holmes and Lori (William Gibbons) Harvey; stepchildren, Rachael (Curt) Mueller-Kowalski and Jason (Christina) Mueller; grandchildren, Carson Holmes, Preston Holmes, Noah Mueller, Theo Mueller, and one on the way; brothers, David (Luz) Harvey and Douglas Harvey; sister-in-law, Sandra Harvey; several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents; and brother, Richard. The family wishes to thank the staff at Ascension Saint Anne Place.
