Dale Lee Pohl

Dale Lee Pohl, 75, of Machesney Park, IL, passed away on Friday, November 7, 2025, at Javon Bea Hospital. Born on Wednesday, November 16, 1949, in Rockford, IL, the son of Raymond Arthur and Madeline Lucile (Swartz) Pohl. He graduated from Harlem High School, Class of 1968. Dale was a proud veteran of the U.S. Navy, serving from 1969 to 1993. He was a Master Chief Petty Officer when he retired from the military in 1993. He married Donna J. Middleton on August 16, 1969, in Loves Park, IL. Member of LZ Smoke Brothers. Avid Chicago Cubs fan. Dale had a strong passion for cars, especially enjoyed driving his Camaro. Survivors include his son, Daniel Pohl; siblings, Carol (Richard) Powers, Ronald (Nancy) Pohl, and Roxanne (Martin) Tuckett; several aunts, uncles, and cousins; many beloved nieces, nephews, and other family. Predeceased by his parents; wife; and sister, Raelyn Gossel.

Service at 11 a.m. Friday, November 14, 2025, at Delehanty Funeral Home, Loves Park, with visitation from 10 a.m. to service time. Burial in Lindenwood Cemetery, Lindenwood, IL. In lieu of flowers, memorials to vetsroll.org.
