Dale Jones

Dale G. Jones, 95, of South Beloit passed away Sunday, October 18, 2020, in SwedishAmerican Hospital. Born February 22, 1925, in Loves Park, the son of Harry S. and Elsie L. (Nichols) Jones. Veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Army. Received the Purple Heart. Married Doris A. Bogenrief on January 29, 1949, in Belvidere. They enjoyed 56 years together until Doris passed away in 2005. Retired from Barber-Colman. Dale loved taking road trips with his wife, working outside, mowing his six acres and being outdoors. Avid Cubs, Bulls, Bears and Black Hawks fan. He got to see the Cubs win the World Series. Dale enjoyed the 2019 Vets Roll. He was featured in the Harlem High School Veteran project. Survivors include his son, Gordon Jones; grandson, Craig (Michelle) Jones; great-grandchildren, Brittany, Brandon, Trevor and Landon Jones; several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his wife; parents; and brothers, Harry, Wayne and Malcolm Jones. Special thanks to Finnegan RV and Vets Roll.
