Daisy J. Climer, “Miss Daisy”, 84, of Rockford passed away Saturday, July 30, 2016, in her home. Born July 13, 1932, in Aurora, the daughter of Charles and Irene (Simpkins) Wirtanen. Married Harley R. Climer in Morristown, TN. Employed by Milestone. Survivors include son, Harley Climer, Jr.; daughters, Tina Acosta, Robin Climer, Cathleen (Robert) Fatjo, Diane (Jeff) Ziolkowski and Linda (Bill) Neblock; sister, Mary Lou Radant; and several other siblings. Predeceased by her husband and daughter, Melanie Romero.
Graveside service at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, August 2, in Sunset Memorial Gardens, 8800 North Alpine Road, Machesney Park. Visitation from 1 to 2 p.m. Tuesday, August 2, in Delehanty Funeral Home, Ltd., 401 River Lane, Loves Park.
