Corrinne L. Norris, 82, of Machesney Park, IL, passed away Friday, July 7, 2023, in her home. Born June 11, 1941, in Rockford, IL, the daughter of Lawrence H. and Fannie (Crull) McCarty. Married Jerold L. “Jerry” Norris, on January 12, 1963, in Loves Park, IL. Employed as a school bus driver by the Harlem School District for 45 years. Corrinne enjoyed crocheting, reading books, and watching basketball, baseball, and football. She loved fast food. Survivors include her daughter, Michelle (Brian) Daniels; son, Shawn Norris; granddaughter, Caitlin (Justin) Chamberlain; grandsons, Connor (Nick Borowitz) Daniels, and Gabriel Baldock; great-grandchildren, Jaxon Chamberlain, Mason Baldock, and Camilla Chamberlain; sisters, Janis Compton, Nancy Fiore, Linda Robertson, and Ellen (Brad) Carlson; brothers, David (Christine) McCarty, and Chuck (Kathy) McCarty; numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents; husband; and brothers, Bill, Marwin, and Maurice McCarty. Thanks to the staff at Mercy at Home Health and Forest City Caregivers for their support. Special thanks to caregiver, Katherine, for her loving care and support.
Memorial visitation from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday, August 5, 2023, at Delehanty Funeral Home, 401 River Lane, Loves Park. Cremation rites accorded with family inurnment in Sunset Memorial Gardens, Machesney Park. In lieu of flowers, a memorial will be established.
