Coleen "Cookie" Gill

Coleen “Cookie” A. Gill, 71, of Machesney Park was reunited with her husband in Heaven Tuesday, May 2, 2017. Born June 6, 1945, in Saint Cloud, MN, the daughter of Robert J. and Frances (Sleevi) Peters.  She grew up in Anchorage, AK, where she met her future husband.  Married Terrance “Terry” E. Gill on May 22, 1965.  Member of St. Bridget Catholic Church and the LLL Club.  Survivors include her children, Robert (Diana) Gill, Stefanie Gill, Teresa (Casey) Mangrum, Jennifer (James) Gorham and Terry (Jessica) Gill; grandchildren, Tomas Timothy Gill, Angelica Gill, Mackeon Mangrum, Nolah Mangrum, Keirra Gill, James Gill and Piper Gill; brother, Robert (Vickie) Peters; brothers-in-law, Raymond “Monty”  (Christine) Gill and Rocky Gill; sister-in-law, Sylvia Gill; several nieces and nephews; and beloved furry friend, Tux.  Predeceased by her husband; and brother-in-law, Ronald Gill.  The family wishes to thank the Doctors and nurses in ICU at Mercy Health Systems for their care and support of Cookie and her family.

Service at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 6, in Delehanty Funeral Home, Ltd., 401 River Lane, Loves Park, with visitation from 1 p.m. to service time.
