Clifton O. “Clif” Strock, 76, of Roscoe passed away Wednesday, April 17, 2019, in his home. Born September 16, 1942, in Elmhurst, IL, the son of Louis and Dorothy (Boomer) Strock. Veteran, serving in the U.S. National Guard. Married Elaine A. Anderson on August 21, 1965, in Chicago, IL. Owned and operated American Family Insurance in Loves Park for 41 years. Former member of the Loves Park Ambucs. Active with the Boy Scouts Troop 620. Clif was also active with the Share Program at Roscoe United Methodist Church. He enjoyed golfing, fishing, canoeing in the Boundary Waters area, and traveling. Survivors include his wife, Elaine; son, Kenneth (Jessica) Strock; grandchildren, Emily and Ashley; brother, David (Margaret) Strock; sister-in-law, Mary Strock; numerous nieces and nephews; in-laws, Carol Anderson, Nancy (Richard) Deckert, Willard (Peg) Anderson and Donna (Kevin) Keenan. Predeceased by his parents; son, Douglas James Strock; and brother, Richard Strock.
Memorial service at 3 p.m. Saturday, April 27, 2019, in Delehanty Funeral Home, Ltd., 401 River Lane, Loves Park, with visitation from 2 p.m. to service time. Private inurnment will be in Pinnacle Hill Cemetery, Roscoe, IL. In lieu of flowers, a memorial will be established.
