Claude D. Ferguson, Sr., 76, of Rockford was called home Monday, January 1, 2018, in East Bank Center. Born August 1, 1941, in Rosston, AK. Married Vera L. Revels. Employed by Camcar for 31 years, retiring in 2000. He loved having family and friends over at the “stadium”. Claude enjoyed bowling, darts and camping. Avid Chicago Bears and Bulls fan. His favorite saying was “Let’s have one more”. Survivors include his children, Claude (Felicia) Ferguson, Jr., of Roscoe, Sophia Ferguson of Loves Park, Jennifer (Arthur) Ford of Roscoe, Tracy (Gregory) Dennis of Cape Girardeau, MO, Patrick Ferguson, Clayvon Williams, Euniece Sowell, Greg Johnson and Janet (Anthony) Castille, all of Rockford; stepmother, “Medea” Lizzie B. Ferguson; 15 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; siblings, Randall (Helen) Ferguson, Jr., James Ferguson, Robert (Lyndia) Ferguson, Jeannette (Shaun) Angles, John Ferguson, Judy (Edward) Seals, Candice Billberry, Aida (Don) Malone, Randy Purifoy, Pam Sharp, Wayne, Bridget, Brenda, Robert (Tabitha) Purifoy; many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents, Enry and Trudell (Hicks) Purifoy; his biological father, Randall Ferguson, Sr.; his wife; and brothers, Roger Purifoy and Carter Ferguson.
